Install STRATO on Windows

Setup your Environment

  • Install Docker Toolbox ("Docker for Windows" is not currently supported)

  • Ensure the following ports are open:

    :80, :443 (for Nginx)
    :30303, :30303/UDP (for Strato P2P)
    
    You may view the ports used by typing docker ps in your terminal.

Download STRATO

Run the following commands from your terminal:

  1. git clone https://github.com/blockapps/strato-getting-started
  2. cd strato-getting-started
  3. ./strato.sh --single
  4. Your STRATO dashboard should be running on http://localhost/

Login to the Dashboard with credentials:

>username: *admin*

>password: *admin*

Note: It may take several minutes for your STRATO node to sync with the dashboard

Stopping STRATO

To stop a running instance of STRATO Developer Edition on your machine, run this command (from within the git cloned getting-started folder)

./strato --stop

To stop and wipe out a running instance of STRATO Developer Edition on your machine, run this command (from within the git cloned getting-started folder)(you will lose state of any transactions/data created in the blockchain)

./strato --wipe

Ports Used

In order to use STRATO, the following ports must be available on your machine:

:80, :443 (for Nginx)
:30303, :30303/UDP (for Strato P2P)

You may view the ports used by typing docker ps in your terminal.
